{"id":138,"date":"2025-07-17T09:32:39","date_gmt":"2025-07-17T09:32:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.attica.nu\/wordpress\/?p=138"},"modified":"2025-09-02T17:38:29","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T17:38:29","slug":"doorstroomstation-utrecht","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/attica.nu\/en\/doorstroomstation-utrecht\/","title":{"rendered":"Utrecht flow-through station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The goal of this project is to increase the capacity of Utrecht Station in the context of the High Frequency Rail project.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The principles for the development of a flow-through station are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>- Design based on fixed train flows with the associated adjustment strategy.<br>- Shortening headway and travel time by increasing train speed from 40 km\/h to 80 km\/h.<br>- Increasing availability and reliability by 50%.<br>- Reducing maintenance costs by removing switches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The final layout was established in 2011. Attica provides direction for the detailed design, the phasing of construction, the specification and the planning.
